Water Delivery & Engine Support

High-Volume Water
Delivery Operations

Baumanis Timber Contracting provides high-volume water delivery services for wildfire suppression, structure protection, and prescribed fire operations across British Columbia and Canada. Our fleet of water tenders, portable pump systems, and trained operators keep fire suppression infrastructure running when it matters most — on the fire line.

Water Tenders & Bulk Delivery

Our water tenders transport large volumes of water to remote staging areas, helipads, and forward operating bases where municipal supply does not reach. Each tender is equipped with fast-fill and quick-fill capability, allowing rapid turnaround between loads. Whether supplying a Structure Protection Unit (SPU) deployment or refilling engines on an active fire line, our tenders maintain the sustained flow that suppression operations depend on.

Pump Systems & Natural Water Sources

When operating in backcountry terrain, reliable water supply often means drawing from lakes, rivers, and creeks. Baumanis deploys portable pump systems — including Mark III and high-pressure pumps — to draft from natural water sources and push water uphill to where it is needed. Our crews set up and maintain drafting sites, ensuring continuous supply even in challenging terrain with limited road access.

Hose Lay Infrastructure

Effective fire suppression requires more than water at the source — it requires water at the point of attack. Our crews build and maintain hose lay networks including mainline trunk lines and lateral distribution branches. High-volume manifold and distribution systems allow multiple crews to draw water simultaneously from a single supply line, reducing bottlenecks during active suppression and mop-up operations.

Engine Support & Direct Suppression

Baumanis provides engine support for direct suppression, mop-up, and patrol operations. Our operators work alongside provincial fire crews and incident management teams to deliver water where and when it is needed. This includes wet-lining perimeters ahead of advancing fire, supplying engines during hotspot suppression, and maintaining sustained water delivery to SPU sprinkler deployments protecting structures in the Wildland-Urban Interface.

Operational Readiness

All water delivery personnel are trained in pump systems operation, hose lay construction, and fire suppression safety under BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), Alberta Wildfire, and WorkSafeBC standards. Equipment is maintained year-round and ready for rapid deployment. From a single tender supporting a small crew to a full hose lay network feeding multiple divisions, Baumanis scales water delivery operations to match the size and complexity of the incident.
